Temporal

Durable execution — workflows that survive process crashes, deploys, and week-long waits for a human.

Overview

Temporal records every step a workflow takes so that when a worker dies mid-run, another picks up exactly where it left off. For agents that means a long tool call, a retry with backoff, or a wait for human approval is ordinary code rather than a state machine you maintain by hand. SDKs for Go, Java, TypeScript, Python, .NET and PHP; the server is open source and self-hostable, with Temporal Cloud as the managed option.

Why it's indexed

The standard answer to "what happens to the agent when the pod restarts" — most agent frameworks leave that to you.

Editorial judgement, not a measurement — see our methodology. Listing is never paid for.
