Cursor
AI-native code editor built on VS Code — agent mode, inline edits, and MCP servers in the IDE.
Overview
Cursor is a fork of VS Code with the model wired into the editor rather than bolted on as a chat panel. Agent mode plans and applies multi-file changes, runs terminal commands, and reads the results; Tab completion predicts the next edit across the file, not just the next token. It speaks MCP, so the same servers a CLI agent uses are available inside the editor, and it supports rules files for per-repository instructions. Runs on the developer's machine against hosted models from several providers, or a key the developer supplies.
Why it's indexed
The IDE most agent-skill authors assume you have open — a large share of the rules-file and MCP conventions in this directory come from Cursor users.
