Overview
Claude Code runs in the terminal, in the desktop and web apps, and inside VS Code and JetBrains. It reads a repository, proposes and applies multi-file changes, executes commands, and iterates against real output rather than guessing. Native MCP support lets a session reach the same databases and issue trackers the developer uses, and Agent Skills load task-specific instructions on demand. It runs on the current Claude models, with Opus 5 offering a 1M-token context window.
