Busabase
OfficialBusabase runs on your own machine with an embedded PGlite database and local file storage, and needs no account or API key. Agents connect over MCP at http://localhost:15419/api/mcp, so a record one session writes is there for the next session or a different agent. Writes travel as change requests with a diff and an author. Permissions decide whether a change merges at once or waits for review, so don't assume a person approved it. The open-source server is designed for a trusted local machine or private network, and its docs warn against exposing write endpoints to the public internet without authentication. Busabase Cloud is a separate hosted option.
